The celebration presents various art and cultural performances, an exhibition of the best work of the Dieng community, and also what is very interesting is the ruwatan party for dreadlocks children. The latter is a special ritual ceremony for children of the local community who have dreadlocks. Children with dreadlocks are believed to have  a spectral philosophy that requires special rituals.

The celebration began with the release of traditional lanterns, wayang kulit performances, traditional arts, cultural performances, and fireworks displays.
